Description

The lighting set-up is as follows: Two black "bookends" (bookends are foam core 4x8 foot boards painted black on one side to absorb the light) one either side of Anne, a Profoto flash head in a 2x3 foot Photoflex Softbox above & directly in front of her & a silver reflector just below her chest to reflect the light from the Softbox back into her face. The background was an unlit storm gray seamless paper backdrop. I retouched in Photoshop & used Imagenomic's Portraiture Plug-In set to "Low Key." I'm finding that the best lighting is usually the simplest.

Thanks, Amanda, Marta & Khalid! I really like the lighting on this too. I hate when a photographer won't tell you his/her "secret" so I'm going to include the lighting setup with every photo I post from now on. #4930658
