As beautiful as your pic is, is the danger of such maneuvers. Many decades ago, I remember watching a "bombburst" in which all 6 planes in verticle flight separated in 6 directions & curved back toward earth. Curving more, they all crossed the "centerline" near the ground from 6 different directions. First one plane went thru the "intersection", then a second. The plane that was supposed to be third thru the intersection was about a second late. Thus the third & fourth plane screamed toward the intersection on a collision course. The pilot of the third plane, knowing he was late & heading toward collision, hauled on his yoke. The plane jerked up about a 100feet in less than a second & the third & fourth plane went thru the intersection simultaneously but about the 100 foot vertical distance apart. & then the fifth & sixth planes crossed in sequence without incident. It was so quick I don't think most of the viewers at the airfair knew what went on, but some people did because I heard individual gasps around the crowd. After that incident, I never saw a multiple jet crossover unless each plane went thru the intersection at a substantially different altitude. #836852

That was a great description of a near tradgedy, Bill! I can't say that I would want to witness it but if I did I would hope to have the AI Servo mode turned on and the planes in focus! #837022
