Great photo Daniel. Crystal clear detail. I would like to know what kind of lighting you used. Thanks!

Hi Duncan,

I just used an old SB-24 flash and I had strong sunlight coming from a large window behind me. I used a very short burst from the flash because I had all the sunlight behind me. I think the trick was having lots of natural light. I also aimed the flash at the ceiling to make it a bit softer. After that though, I did take the contrast up and the brightness down in photoshop. This made the cups look more like gold.

What was the speed of the lens? #713080

Daniel L. KONGOS August 15, 2004

It was and 80-200 f 2.8, but the lens speed was irrelevant because I used a flash.

Hi Diane...

and thank you for all of your responses on my photos. It's nice to know that you looked around my member gallery. I checked out your gallery, and I think that "purple" is my favorite of your photos. It's a flower photo that stands out in my mind and I usually forget about flower photos instantly. I love the blending in of the white backround. Thanks again,

danny
