berlin (near the reichstag), germany. may 2007. this photo was shot on a very overcast and dreary day. the weather unfortunatly made it difficult to take great photos because of the lack of good light and the gray sky. in the end, however, it all worked out for the best. this particular photo belongs to a large group I took at a very contemporary building on the rivers edge right next to the reichstag. the clean lines and straight elements made black & white an appropriate choice and - I think - enhances the photos in that the viewers eye is drawn to the lines and shapes rather than colors. what could have been a very dismal day turned out to be a wonderful photo outing and gave me a chance to explore some different avenues.
