Description

My Mother in law with our daughter Jade, when she was just 1 month old.

Jade had just been diagnosed with a couple heart defects, and we were facing "certain" heart surgery to repair them, and all the fear and uncertainty that comes with news like that. Thankfully things turned out just fine, and, in fact, she didn't end up requiring surgery, but at that particular moment in time we were all so cognizant of how precious her little little life, in fact ALL life, was, and how short our time with one another really is in this life.

I think this photo really captured all the wonder, joy, fear, hope and love of that time period.
