The China Syndrome

Uploaded: August 14, 2007

Description

Night study of a welding engineer at work. This image captures the process of the fusing together of lengths of steel tram (car) tracks. The obviously high temperature and light levels caught my eye. The tram tracks are not unlike railroad tracks. Melbourne's city streets are famous for its lightrail tram network.

Captured aperture priority utilising Nikkor 18 - 70 lens at f5/70mm, 1/320 second exposure.
