I don't know why but thered eft, terrestrial form of the Eastern newt, has always been one of my favorite subjects to photograph with a macrolens. They are so vibrantly colored, so charismatic I think, and just plain neat looking! I got down on its level for this image, and put the Sigma 150/2.8 HSM EX macro lens to the test.
