Great close-up, Steven!! His expression seems very friendly. Does he have something in his mouth or is that part of his nose? #4602192Steven E. Ray August 05, 2007
Thanks everyone! Trying my hand at insect macro photography. With this exotic macro lens, it is better called microphotography because the optics is more akin to a microscope. Cannot be used as normal 65mm lens. The insects do look like aliens as Nina said. The grayish center tongue looking part is a plant juice squeegee of sort. As it grinds away at a leaf, it suffers not to loose any moisture by use of this part. The six extensions are feelers and guides for the leaf eating process. He/she was friendly as one might evaluate an insect as having any human like emotions. Those tiny black dots for pupils would shift to follow my camera. They could rotate where the black dots would nearly disappear into the socket. #4602601Kitty R. Rodehorst-Hanna August 06, 2007
