Old barn door latch. I like the colours and character of this. The closer I got to it the more I liked the composition and over all picture.

You're right, a lot of texture and colour... Wouldn't have been the same on an overcast day! #9076Carol Engstrom September 11, 2002
Tells a story doesn't it. Good eye for a picture many wouldn't see. #14417Danea Burleson September 11, 2002
Thanks for both of your comments. I am still learning and enjoy looking at things in ways one normally wouldn't. I took a series of pictures starting with the whole barn doors and slowly moving in. This closest shot is my favorite but also the veiw that one wouldn't normally take. Meaning rarely do you walk up to an ordinary object and stick your face really close to it. Unless you're a photographer...lol.I am included the previous shot as a comparison. #14420

You've got the idea, get real close and fill the frame with what you feel is interesting.... #14424Danea Burleson September 11, 2002
Thanks Damian. The latch is the most interesting, it just took 4 shots to figure that out.......hehehe #14427Lianne E. Cook September 12, 2002
