Description

I met this old chap engrossed in the cricket commentry (England vs New Zealand) on his transistor radio, oblivious to the passersby who are usually his trade. I asked he said yes and we spent a half an hour mchatting and listening to the cricket - oh and taking photos with a model release in the bag!

Ohhhhh, this is a beaut! You really come up with some interesting characters! Bravo, Dave! #137947

Thanks Sherri,
Oxford, like most places is full of them. It's a matter of seeing them and not walking by. This situation for example took me 5 minutes to examine before I approached, lighting, angles, watching what was happening (how people were interacting with him) etc. The biggest problem I have is that once passersby see me taking a photo they stop to let you take it. The last thing I want - I need people, so I am always thanking them saying "It's ok go on" and then taking the shot! I frequently get some very bemused looks. All I can say is that most of their photographs must make this look like a very sparsely populated planet!

Warmest regards
