Glad you're playing around the PS, 'tis quite fun...

I think you'll like layers and desaturation, a little tricky at first, but rewarding once you get used to them... #8920

Connie- First of all I really like this picture. Secondly I know you put this picture on back in Sept and I read your brief discussion on PhotoShop. I am just starting to play around with it too and was wondering if you have kept it up and learned alot from it and if so do you have any suggestions on books or classes regarding Photoshop??
Thanks

There are several good books on Photoshop. You can get many on eBay, like the classroom in a book series by Adobe for very resonable prices. That series includes CDs and projects that you can work through...

I would suggest scrolling to the bottom of the screen and clicking either the help button and if you cant find info there click the contact link and email Jim so he can give you step by step instructions on starting a conversation.

I am really not good at giving directions, and it has been a long time since I have been on here and much has changed.

As for starting in photography, the best first step is to take pictures, of anything, and see what works out. Get to know your camera and what it can do for you before you try to start freelance or professional photography.

It is a fun job, but takes alot of work. There is alot of knowledge that you need about light, exposure, positioning, focusing and so much more.

But being that you are only 14...I would say that your first step is to finish school, pay attention in geometry...it will come in handy when setting up a shot, and use photography as a hobby before you try to do it professionally.

Much Luck to you
