From Where I Am Standing

Uploaded: July 16, 2007

Description

Thanks for comments everyone. I was shooting the inside of this bridge as the sun went down. The angled light seeped into the structure and caused a wonderful gold glow. I lucked out when this man walked up to the opening and just stood perfectly still allowing me to take a good exposure of this drastic scene.

Taken at Sundial Bridge, Redding CA.

10-20 Sigma,
Polarizer,
Flash,
F16

Stunning colours and very well composed Jon and your luck was phenomenal getting the person in the shot and in exactly the right spot. This is a wonderful shot as are so many of your other shots in your gallery. This should make the finals this month. #692477

Makes me homesick! I lived in Redding for 8+ years & I was there the day they christened the bridge.
I have some of my favorite pics of the bridge on my website Jon Michael. Feel free to check it out. They were back from my film days with my nikon 35mm.
Not perfect, but ones I loved.
My family said I had a love affair with the bridge. :)
Beautifully done! #4516035
