Canada Day Picnic on the Gorge.
Every year on Canada Day, our neighbourhood street is closed off for a huge party. The Gorge is a very long salt water inlet and on the other side of the water from us, is the Songhees First Nations. We have our own parade and this young man and some of his friends led the way. This is a community tradition that we're very proud of.
I'm entering this in Travel and Place because it's so much a question of place.
