This is a great capture, Benjamin..well done! #131872Dolores Neilson May 27, 2004 0
Beautiful exposure, sharp and wonderful interesting color!! Well done, Benjamin!! I'm assuming this is with a Canon 100-400?? I don't recall any third party lens offering this focal range. And Nikon doesn't have this focal length either. #561431zcaley May 27, 2004 0

Dolores - you are right. It is the Canon 100-400 (IS) L. 400mm wide open - this is one of 4 frames shot hand-held in a burst. They were all this quality, though, the little bird had other ideas about composition. Thanks for the great feedback. It is encouraging and greatly appreciated. I continue to be amazed with the 10D and this lens. The sun was about 15 minutes from dropping below the horizon - thus the very warm colors. #561585Darren K. Fisher May 27, 2004 0
Glad you snaped that shutter 4 times, this is awesome. Great lighting and wonderful detail. Has to be one of the best bird images I have ever seen. #561646Dorothy Neumann May 27, 2004 0

Great photo, many congratulations to you!! #605888Kathleen N. Nelson July 04, 2004 0
I love your photo of the Cape May warbler. These little guys are really hard to photograph, but your photo is perfect. I also have a 10D camera and was thinking about getting the 100-400 lens down the road. Your photo has convinced me that it's a great lens. However, I'm sure it will take me a very long time and lots of practice to take a photo such as this one (even with the lens). #630349Rita Richter July 08, 2004 0
