Description

Taken at the Scottish Festival in Utah. I didn't get to hear what kind of bird this was.

This looks like a Harris Hawk. It is definitely a hawk and not a falcon. Falcons have much shorter/rounded beak than hawks. I have a Gyr Falcon, Perrigrine falcon, Redtail hawk & bald eagle on my website. You can see the difference of the beaks of the 3 species in my "feathered friends" gallery. www.carltonwardphoto.com #935243

Carlton, thanks so much! Now I will be able to properly title my photo. Much appreciated. #6024434
