Hi Mike...This is one really nice work of art. I haven't finished looking yet at your gallery, but was wondering if this shot was all in-camera, or composited (new word!!!), in PS. I haven't bought a DSLR, still loving film and scanning has been fun. Irun up against wall trying layers, but IT won't work for me. Like working with other stuff, curves, filters, etc. but even sitting with a book trying to overlay same pic. for multi. exp. gives me a headache, LOL!!!! Now I am going to enjoy the rest of your gallery :). It's just beautiful, and have a good day. MLL. #4621401

Hi Mary~

First, thanks for finding this image and leaving your very kind words. This image was done in camera. It is a multiple exposure. The D200 allows for up to 10 exposures on one, uh frame? You know what I mean. I did adjust curves and a Velvia-like adjustment.
I had a D70 and it didn't have this capability so I did (and sometimes still) "digital" multiples (layers).
I agree, at first, it's not the easiest thing to do. But, it is possible and worth learning. Keep adjusting the opacity on each layer etc. Layers is really where a lot of the magic lies in digital, I think. My image, Grasse Phan, is a digital multiple. I have a Nikon film camera and it does in-camera multiple exposures also. That's how I first got hooked on the technique. I take your film camera does not.

I hope this helps. If I can help in some other way, please email me. Thanks again for taking the time to leave a note.
