Mark, I don't usually like commenting on personal/family-type pictures. People seem to be really touchy about these kinds of shots. But since you asked, I will take a chance here. I think this composition is pretty good. Looks like you used a bit of flash, which is good, but you might've toned it down a bit. Color looks pretty good too. My only problem is what looks to be your camera's shortcomings as opposed to your photographic skills. Just how big a file does this camera produce? This shot is too grainy for my taste (especially for a wedding shot, which IMHO look better when on the soft side). Also, you've lightened the blacks too much with PhotoMax. Black should be black, not gray and not charcoal briquette color. The white wedding dress looks right. As for the subject in general, you've done a great job capturing a romantic moment that the couple will surely appreciate having for their wedding album. Like I said before, the problems look to be from your camera and imaging software. The shot itself is very nice. Hope you had a good time at the reception! #7920

Thank you Piper. I have seen several of your photos and I really like them. I would never get offended over what anyone said about any of my photos :) . I am eager to learn from those that are more experienced than I. I will see about editing the photo and I will try to (with what I've got)make the picture a lot better. When I put it back up here I would surely love to have your comment again on it. Thanks very much. If you see any others of mine on here PLEASE give me your honest opinions again. I find it more of a learning experience when critique comes straight from the hip rather than candy coated LOL. I also have plans to upgrade my photo editing software after what I have learned on here from others tips on others photos. I've added another here to see what you think about this one too.
Thanks and God Bless,
