Antelope Canyon

This sandstone slot canyon is the subject of a lot of photographs, but I still enjoyed the wonder of being there. This was one of my favorite shots.

Wonderful composition, Abby. I've see many images from this area, but this one is unique and has many more design elements and textures than I have seen before. Very nice new look to an old subject. One of my favorites, too! #4297550Phil Stith May 20, 2007
Very nice, Abby. I've put that canyon high on my list of spots to visit.Abby Palmer May 20, 2007
Thanks to all of you for your input. I am honored after visiting your galleries and seeing your incredible work. I will tell you Phil that there is some magic that occurs in the camera. The naked eye does not see the colors the way the camera does. The actual time in the canyon is kind of frustrating as you are jockeying with other people and it is hard to get your shots. Mine were all 30 second exposures while I prayed no one would bump me or move in front of the lens. You have to go in with a Navajo guide and there are several with groups in the space at the same time. It costs about $45 for the photo tour which means you spend about 1 and a half hours in the canyon. The time flew by and I felt constantly rushed but I am still really glad I went. #4306369Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
