This was taken inside the park on the morning after the fire. These termite mounds were in stark contrast to their burnt surroundings appearing totally unscathed by the fire.

Thanks Patrick...no they didn't build this afterwards. This was about two feet tall and there were three more just like it. I've seen them when I've gone for walks before. I was totally amazed to see that they weren't even scorched!! I don't know how it's possible...but there they are completely untouched! #4249908Shelly A. Van Camp May 05, 2007
