Thank you for your comments Colette, Frederic and Kristen. This was taken on a recent photo walk with my photo club. The walk was to photograph Canada geese and other birds on a beautiful marsh. I happened to look in the opposite direction while putting a polarizer on my camera . . . and there was the shot . . . this beautiful, glowing field. I immediately repositioned and snapped the shot. If I had waited even 5 more minutes, the shot would have been gone, as the sun position changed that quickly and the scene became flat and boring. Guess the moral is: 1) Look in all directions, not just at the obvious photographic scene. There might be something more interesting behind you. 2) Take advantage of the beautiful light when you see it, because in the blinking of an eye it will probably be gone. #516589
