Quacks and ripples

Uploaded: May 01, 2004

Description

f8, 1/250 sec., lens focal length 300mm., 04/30/2004. An emotive mallard. The light was right to capture the iridescent colors and soft ripples on a smooth lake.

Nice shot. The opene mouth is definitely a plus on this shot. This is the first pic. of a duck that I see like that. #513422

Thanks to all for the kind comments. This mallard was sounding the alarm to the other ducks. A fox was ten feet away on the beach. So, my image capture was aided by the fact the mallard was distracted by a predator and was quacking with fervor. #513519
