Red Coral

Uploaded: April 21, 2007

Description

Taken on Santa Cruze Island in the Southern Philippines. The picture has been edited to: replace the background with black for contrast, enhance the color of the coral, and brighten the white of the sand. Santa Cruze island is home to one of the few pink beaches in the world, the beach gets its color from the red coral. This piece measures only about 3 inches long and was taken at very close range to capture all the detail.
