Those were the days...I remember having to follow a similar ritual with my son, who's now 16 and just too big to tuck in at night with a story. Ha. Nice shot, though I would boost the contrast a bit--just a bit. Or do a color cast check in PS elements, if you have it. The blacks here are on the gray side, but then you probably got this with your scanner and not the print/slide. I hate my slide scanner! Argh! Don't get me started... #7326

Stop! :) I just call 'em like I see 'em. I like to try to write what I'm going to write without looking at the copyright. Sometimes I can't help it. Your name is just too unique. Do you mind me asking if your husband is American Indian, and if so, which type/kind/tribe (I'm sorry, I don't know the P.C. term for this.) #10998

He's Cherokee (and I think the term is tribe, but what do I know). When I married him I thought, "Hmmm, the name will be easy to spell." Yeah. Right. Nobody seems to know how to spell it. And I get "Mockingbird" sometimes.

You know, the writing and bill on the cap in this picture are actually green. Does it look black on your screen? It does here. I gotta get PS Elements.... #11003

Ha! Mockingbird--that's too funny. Don't fret. Nobody can spell my name either. I don't understand what's so hard about P-i-p-e-r. I swear. Some people need that Hooked On Phonics program really badly.

I've been told I have a bit of Cherokee blood. My great-great(-great?) grandmother was full-blooded Cherokee. You can really see it in my grandmother (my mom's mom).

No, the bill and writing look green to me. I was referring to the fishing pole black area. If you boost the color or contrast until that area looks black, then the rest of the colors should be right too. I have to do this to EVERY scan. I hate my scanner....have I mentioned this already? :) #11008
