Uploaded: April 02, 2007
No flash,Aperature Priority F5.6,1/750,Nikkor 55-200 ,Taken in Marble Falls Texas at 11:05 am.Shot in raw and brightness, contrast and saturation adjusted in Corel PSP X. The sun was already very bright and there was no shade in this spot so I set the shot up at a 45 degree angle, for a good trade off between shadows and highlights. Camera was tripod mounted and operated with ML3 remote shutter release.

Thank you very much carla. This is my daughter, and without a doubt one of my best portraits since I got serious about Photography. I may take your recomendation and make this a mothers day present. #4128627Carla J. Pomroy April 06, 2007
Michael- try burning the edges just along the flowers around the edges like it is in the lover left corner. It will give it a real finished look. (You can use a 50% gray layer and paint it or use the burn tool. I prefer the 50% layer with soft light.) a bit to draw your attention to your daughter even more and set the edges of your art piece. Just beautiful. I know your wife will be thrilled. Carla #4138500Michael Wasson April 07, 2007

I really like it! Does it make a difference to you? It is hard for me to tell from the small size but I think it draws the eye to your daughter more and makes it a beautiful professional portrait.Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
