Snowy Egret and Waterfall, exposure 1 1/2 seconds with Nikon F4
Piper Lehman July 26, 2002
Geez, Bob! 1-1/2 seconds? This bird was very cooperative, yes? Very nice composition. I bet you were shaking with excitement when you found this shot. (I know I would be.) Love the soft water in the background. Wouldn't have been as strong with a fast speed. Good thinking! (My weakness--shooting before thinking things through.) #6902Robert Jensen July 26, 2002
Piper,Thanks for your comments. Egrets tend to sit still long enough that I knew I could do a longer exposure and capture the "cotton candy" effect on the waterfall. This is the only shot I got, because some people walked by and the bird took off!
I took a look at your website and love your composition and creativity.

Bob...I love this!! The waterfalls at slow shutter create a most beautiful silky and interesting background... a wonderful scene!! Good luck with this! #10206Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
