Thanks everyone! Josh - I just picked up a used Nikon 300mm ED IF f/4 lens and I love it - really takes nice shots. Someday I'll be able to afford a 300mm f/2.8, but in the meantime this lens is quite serviceable. #471280

I only have a 210mm f/4.5.. wish I had faster glass..but that is all I have for those Steelers shots. Next time you are near Pittsburgh we should shoot together.

I've generally stayed away from the Nikon glass because of the high price, feeling that Sigma lenses were quite serviceable. Now I know why it's so highly priced. The ED glass is incredible. I'm going to have to start working on upgrading my lens collection to the Nikon ED line.

I'd LOVE to shoot a Steeler game! We went to Heinz Field for the Pitt-WVU game two years ago - awesome place. Great atmosphere and the view of the Burgh out through the endzone is spectacular. I've been in several pro stadiums but none of the ones I've been in can hold a candle to Heinz Field.
