Description

Well, gang, my D80 is on it's way back to Nikon and I don't expect it back for 3 to 4 weeks! I'll most probably go crazy without being able to shoot on a daily basis! A few resubmits, then I'll just have to wait it out... Thanks to all of you who have been keeping up with my gallery and offering such great support... I'll be back! :)

It started out as just another episode of "dust" on the sensor and I invested in an Arctic Butterfly Brush to clean it (as the folks at the camera shop had cleaned it 3 times already) Apparently, the "dust" was tiny droplets of lubricant from manufacturing? that ended up creating a nasty smear across the sensor. Then, I took it to the shop and they tried cleaning it with "smear away", etc. for an hour or so and just couldn't get it cleared up so off it went to Nikon! I'll most probably go completely CRAZY before it comes back!!!

Thanks, everyone! Looks like I won't be out of commission after all! :) My hubby (the sweetest guy in the world!) brought home a new D80 for me today so I'd have a backup! I was totally surprised and so excited!... So I'm chargin' up the battery and gettin' it ready to go! Woohoo! #3973112
