The American Eagle
Uploaded: December 30, 2006
Driving home to Idaho for the Holidays, I caught two wild Bald Eagles sitting perched on a dead tree just outside of Challis. They let me get close enough to fill the frame and capture a few shots. Then continued their hunt for fish in the icy Salmon River.
Exposure 1/320s at F/5.6, Focal length 400mm, with Canon 100-400mm lens.
Exif: FNumber: 5.6, ExposureBiasValue: 1/1, ExposureTime: 0.003125, Flash: flash did not fire, ISO: 100, WhiteBalance:

Very cool image. We have Bald Eagles close to me, but they always stay across the river so I can't get close enough, even will 500mm. Great capture. #579830Richard D. Cox December 30, 2006
