Too Many Pictures!!
Uploaded: December 24, 2006
I think I'm driving my little one-month old niece a little crazy taking so many pictures!! :) Taken this afternoon about 3:00, indoors, natural window lighting. No flash, saturation and contrast levels at "0". Coloring and contrast changed in Photoshop.

I really love the sensitivity of this portrait, Morgan. You've captured a wonderful moment with your niece. I especially like how well you've adjusted the color and the detailing and lighting is just terrific. It looks so real. However, I have just a few constructive suggestions for you that you may or may not chose to use. My eye keeps wandering to the fingers at the bottom right of the page and also to the background with the basket handles. I'm wondering what it might look like if you could try to clone over the fingers (since you have Photoshop) replacing them instead with the blanket. Also, I'm thinking that if you selected the background and then blurred it some more it would keep the eye from wandering to the striped fabric and basket handles and would insure that the main focus is the baby's face. Or maybe even replace the entire background with a softened diffused white (almost making it look like the baby is laying in a cloud). Overall, I think the baby the way you've captured her face with her little hands in front is just beautiful. And it is for this reason that I've made these suggestions. To keep the focus on what makes this photo a true gem! #3740315Jenny D September 09, 2007
