Desmond Family Portrait
Uploaded: December 15, 2006
This portrait was originally shot in 1932 and upon the passing of the sister on the right, my friends asked me to restore the photo. Sun and water damaged, but still in the original framing, this was quite a project! But after restoration and recomposition, the original work once again revealed itself! I was especially inspired by the idea of carrying the torch for one of my forebears, long since gone, but who paved the way for all of us today!
To be able to preserve this family treasure fo

Are the far two pictured twins, Candice? This is a beautifully restored family keepsake, my friend!<:))
I'm not familiar with restoration but years ago I took old photos and made them into a slide presentation (for a friend whose parents were celebrating their 50 Wedding Anniversary) using various filters to give the slides/images an 'old feel'. That was back in the days when I used an SLR and had a darkroom in the basement. #3705085
