Critical Flight

Uploaded: December 08, 2006

Description

O’ Fallon Fire Protection District (Missouri) fire personnel standby with a charged safety line while ARCH EMS helicopter lifts off from a suburban street court carrying a 12 year boy who collapsed and became unconscious after complaining of a headache. I stood behind the firefighters to get the shoot but fought to hold the camera (and myself) steady from the massive down wash of the helicopters blades. Notice the heads of the firefighters looking down to protect themselves from the debris.
