WOW, Emmett! I saw this full moon two nights ago as I was coming home from work, and wished I had a lens that would do it justice. This is beautiful! In fact, as I wandered a little bit through your gallery I discovered many great images! #569321Melissa G. Meiselman December 08, 2006
Exquisite capture of the new moon...this is just beautiful, Emmett. You captured amazing details which I would have thought you needed a telescope to catch. #3682790Colleen Farrell December 08, 2006
Wow!! Now that's inspiring! :D #3683054Emmett S. Speelman December 09, 2006
Thanks so very much Melissa, Colleen and Laurie. The truth is I wanted a 500mm Prime lens, but my lovely wife said it was her or the lens, being that live with out here is out of the question we meet in the middle and I bought a Tamron 2x pro series Tele-Converter for my Tamron 70-300mm lens. I was delighted at the results and can't wait to use it more. #3684704Ellen Hodges December 10, 2006

Fantastic work here, Emmett! An incredible capture, considering you used a 2X converter.Bill Wyatt January 31, 2007
Great job here Emmett my 2x sucks up the light and makes it hard to get that kind of speed. I have a Tamron TC2x also. I have to manually focus with it but that is no problem with the moon, it is not going anywhere. LOL #3895402Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
