If I were to win grand prize with this
photo, I would be so suprised, I swear,
I would shave my head.

Lather up Art :0) Congrats on your win!! #479142

Arthur Rosch April 12, 2004

I'm not kidding! Of course, Starr shaves
my head every couple of weeks anyway.
It's a good shot, but there are better
shots, my own included, that don't place
in anybody's contest except the one judged by my cats.

Carol Brill April 12, 2004

We are our own worst critics, Art (cats of course are on a higher level!), but I for one enjoyed the color and bird's-eye view of this shot and am glad to see it in the finals! Congratulations!! #479477

Patricia A. Kuniega April 13, 2004

I'm beginning to think you were a bird in a previous life, as so many of your shots are taken on high or of the skies! I'm curious where you were to get this unique view. Congrats on splendid photo of my favorite bridge! #481768

Arthur Rosch April 13, 2004

Patricia, I was flapping very hard!
You think it's easy to fly and shoot
pics at the same time?

(little secret: there's a road just
off to the right of southbound 101,
before the bridge. Go up there. It's
all in front of you.)

I would like to thank everyone who made
this win possible. I would first like
to thank my witch doctor, Noglu Pomnar,
whose incantations helped me to visualize
success. Then there's my Ego Enhancer,
Yehudah Manne, who never let me doubt
myself and my abilities. I'd also like
to thank Gillian Wopping, my Life Strategist, who kept tellilng me, "think
big dream big, think big dream big!"
And there's my herbalist/chiropractor
Dr. Haakon Wyre, who kept my body from
falling apart, and of course, there's
my loyal audience, without whom nothing
happens........oh yes, I'd like to thank
Felix Twitty, who, it turns out,
is the other aspect of my Mulitple Personality Disorder, and who has
been strewing cigarette butts everywhere, and I've had the hardest
time figuring out where they came
from, as I don't smoke. Thank you
everyone! Felix, behave yourself! #487491

This is so powerful! I love the boldness and the lines...and of course the twinkling lights in the background. Opposites attract, right? A real memorable photo. Lisa #4909704

Arthur Rosch March 09, 2016

Thank you, Erica. I've been absorbed in writing novels (roschbooks.com) and haven't done much recently in photography. I have, however, acquired a Canon 70D, which is awesome. I love the GG Bridge, and bridges in general. #11444600
