Very nice panoramic image of a cricket match in progress Murtaza! Where was it happening?! I love the setting for the cricket ground/oval too... [Our summer of international cricket here in Australia has just finished, but my husband and I still like to follow what's happening with other matches around the world - especially if Australia is playing I guess! We wouldn't be a little biased, would we?! :-) ] #100598

Thank you very much, Carolyn! The setting is amazing isn't it, the ground has houses on either side! [*Clonk* - there goes a window!] This was taken in Lahore, Pakistan. India and Pakistan matches about to begin in March!! Wouldn't hurt to have a few Pakistan biased fans in Australia rooting for our team!:-) Thanks again for the lovely comments! #395480

Good to hear back from you Murtaza! Yes, I wonder how many windows get broken in each cricket season at that ground in Lahore! I took some photo's in Newcastle (about half an hour's drive north from where we live near Lake Macquarie) late last year, of a local cricket match in progress... There were homes and other buildings fairly close to that ground too - like in your shot! Maybe I'll post one of my cricket photo's on BetterPhoto one day!

As to the upcoming India/Pakistan series of matches starting in Pakistan this month Murtaza, I don't think you will need to worry too much about there being some supporters for Pakistan here in Australia!! There are always plenty of them at the grounds (and watching on television I'd guess!) when Pakistan is playing here! Saaed Anwar may no longer be playing but I'm sure the team will do well against India Murtaza! (By the way, I notice you and the ex-Pakistani cricket captain have a name in common - is Saeed a very popular name in Pakistan?!) Happy photographing Murtaza! #403901

Saeed isn't that common. My first name though is a good bit uncommon:) or at least I like to tell myself that! If my picture has helped in any way to help you dig out some of your cricket snaps and post them soon, then I'm glad. I have the larger resolution one of this picture saved on my computer. It's a 100 inches wide! Time to see some International Cricket soon hopefully on our end - this time around, I think we'll just order the pizza and I'll let someone else do the photographing;) Take cares and happy photographing to you too and may the B.P. be with you!:) And of course, thanks for dropping by again!

Thanks for the feedback Murtaza - and the info. about your names :)! Just keep watching for one of my cricket shots soon...I hope! I'm sure the 100 inches wide version of your 'Cricket Diaries - # 1' shot would be something to behold!!

Yes, you should be able to get your teeth into some good International Cricket - AND pizza, shortly Murtaza! I think you've got the right idea about letting someone else do the snapping...while you enjoy both the cricket and the pizza!!

Thanks for the accolades for our most illustrious recently retired Waugh twins - Steve and Mark! Sad that they have gone from International Cricket, but they certainly both had wonderful careers didn't they Murtaza?! (No doubt many other cricketing nations will not be QUITE so sad to see them go!) Best regards and happy snapping! #405230
