Shawn, I like the idea here and the composition, but the cloudy/white sky really takes away from this. I think a early morning or late day, depending on sun orientation, with some sky features would make this a very striking photograph. #3648596Shawn M. Marymee November 29, 2006
Dennis,Thank you. I was there to take photo's of the cotton field. I looked up and saw the barn. I will go back and try again when we get some sunny weather.
The Critique helps.
Thank you lots!!!

Hi Shawn, I too like the composition and colors, I grew up on a farm and this looks a lot like places back in Michigan where I grew up. Dennis has a point, although when you get around to it, a grad blue filter can help images like this when the exposure blows out a listless, dull sky. I'm finding out that filters put on a camera lens work much better than Photoshop, just my opinion. Very nice POV here. (Another option is to shoot the sky whenever it's nice or when you see clod formations/patterns that you like and put them in a folder called "clouds" or something. Then you can replace the sky in PS. It's not too hard, I tried it once from a tutorial on the Internet I found.) #3677366Shawn M. Marymee December 07, 2006
