Shawn, I like the idea here and the composition, but the cloudy/white sky really takes away from this. I think a early morning or late day, depending on sun orientation, with some sky features would make this a very striking photograph. #3648596

Dennis,

Thank you. I was there to take photo's of the cotton field. I looked up and saw the barn. I will go back and try again when we get some sunny weather.
The Critique helps.
Thank you lots!!!

Hi Shawn, I too like the composition and colors, I grew up on a farm and this looks a lot like places back in Michigan where I grew up. Dennis has a point, although when you get around to it, a grad blue filter can help images like this when the exposure blows out a listless, dull sky. I'm finding out that filters put on a camera lens work much better than Photoshop, just my opinion. Very nice POV here. (Another option is to shoot the sky whenever it's nice or when you see clod formations/patterns that you like and put them in a folder called "clouds" or something. Then you can replace the sky in PS. It's not too hard, I tried it once from a tutorial on the Internet I found.) #3677366

Gary,
Thank you. I would never thought to try that! I will have to go out to day and try to find some skye. Cold here but Clear with a few clouds. I agree that the filters on the camera seem to work better than the ones on PS. I have been to michigan to deliver a horse one time...Very cold up there! These shots were taken in Kansas. Come to think of it, it's prety cold here to day also. Thanks for the comments and help!!!!!

Steve,

I will try to get a full view for you over the Christmas break. The Barn is just down the road but have to wait for permission to go take another photo.
