Nice detail in the fur and a good capture. I like the overall idea of the cat looming over you. I also really like the contrast with the deep blue background.

Here's what I would change to make it an awesome photograph:

Try to take a shot where you don't clip off just the tip of his ear. Either go vertical and get the whole ear, or zoom in a little farther and focus on the face, losing most of the ear. It's a little distracting having part of his ear missing and it leads your eye out of the photo.

The backlighting helps make the fur stand out, but try using a fill flash or a slightly more frontal light source to get a little life into his eyes. Your eye should be drawn to his to really make this photo stand out.

Your sharp detail and unusual POV caught my attention before I saw a cut off ear. This does not bother me because it provides a sense of balance because of the tight frame on his body. I think you did a great job on this, Andrew!! #3587206
