would love some cc on this composition. I thought it was an interesting and there are so many interesting stairwells in barcelona (where I currently live).

also ... what is the policy on entering contests with compositions such as this? is it allowed to enter a "photo" with multiple shots such as this? #546050

As to the contest I don't know if this would be ok or not.
But I was just looking at new postings and saw this, was about to comment...and you beat me to it...lol...

I really love your use of B&W! The stairwells are really beautiful and with your use of contrast, I can see all the shapes of architecture quite well. I love it! I see some day I need to go to Barcelona ; ) #3498203

I really like this presentation, Julie! The images all work well together and the drop shadow behind each really gives it a 3D effect. Nicely done!

Yes, you can enter this into the composition. I'm guessing it would probably go in either "elements of design" or maybe "digital darkroom." #3498204

Great series!! The shots are framed beautifully, and the order in which you present them really draws the eye forward. Was on the thread looking for help myself and this immediately cought my eye. Had to let you know I love it! #3498222

thank you rachel, deb, and megan for your kind remarks!

i had a lot fun working on this composition, and now that I have discovered this theme, I find myself seeing stairs everywhere and snapping away like crazy. I hope to expand on it in the future!

thanks again! #3500001

Hi Julie ,

Great photo , I really like how you set up the stairs to work hand in hand with each other . terrific .

Just a thought ,since the photos work so well directing one to the center already , have you tried to position the center photo just a little bit higher or lower to see the effect you get?

Im probably wrong ,but like to see the difference .

Julie, I really love these stairs! Very lovely presentation and I like the B&W and the contrast in each photo. I will look at stairs very differently now! :) Also, I tried to email you to ask a question and it won't let me contact you. Could you email me so I can ask you a question? #3501155

Thank you Carol!

I have activated my email contact (i had no idea it was even off). I did email you, but if you do not receive it for some reason, you can try my contact info on here again.

Thanks again, and might I add that your gallery is very beautiful ... I espcially love all the photos over the water and with the sunsets, very beautiful colors! #3501274

Thanks for your suggestion Mike. I went ahead and played around with the comp in PS for awhile and came up with these three slightly different works. I am not sure if I captured exactly what you were thinking ... but it was an intersting idea. let me know what you think compared to the original composition. #3501331

I like them all (Number 2 the most). Your photos are so good you could probably spend weeks changing them around and getting nothing but great combinations.. Im sure they would look great framed and up on a wall. #3501479
