Mail Call

Description

Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat
nor gloom of night stays these
couriers from the swift completion
of their appointed rounds.

Another screenshot from MS Flight Simulator X that I wanted to share. This is a Grumman Goose making a mail delivery to Chernofski Harbor in the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. The weather was pretty challenging, but the mail must get through!

I have included the original screenshot in the discussion. Both were cropped for aspect ratio.

I'm sitting here amazed at your screen shots. If my meomory is any good, the Grumman was designed in 1936. But I could be wrong. #3493216

Wikipedia to the rescue! The first flight was 29 May 1937.
