Description

Walking along the beach on picturesque St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The sand had a pinkish tone to it. Taken with a Canon Elan 7E, 28-200 Canon lens.

OOOO! Nice shot, Patricia. You really are on a roll this month. One suggestion--I would like this better withOUT the trees. I think it would further emphasize the two joggers/beachcombers against the expanse of the beach and water's beautiful colors. That pink sand is awesome! Love where you placed the people--great comp. #5815

Hi Piper, thanks! We fell in love with St. John when we took a shore excursion of the island on our cruise ship stop at St. Thomas. We took a four-hour bus tour of St. John and I shot this from a stop our tour guide made at a lookout point. At every stop we made, I kept the tour bus waiting while shooting my photos! No time to wait for that perfect moment. I did crop out some people lying on the beach in the upper right. #8350
