Description

Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Canada.

Moraine Lake is in the same area as the more famous Lake Louise. Both are beautiful--but my vote is Moraine Lake. Most beautiful lake I've ever seen. This picture is also my current mini-pic.

Happy birthday also to Pat Gamwell!!

Wow, I thnk I have only seen 1 other shot of Lake Moraine other than my own and you win on this hands down. I reember these rocks but didn't think to put them in foreground! Did you read the sign at the bottom of the path about the grizzlies? Almost enough to stop you in your tracks.
I see you water was a little different tint of blue, and just a gorgeous shot!! Everything about it!!

Once again, great job, congrats to you!!
If I get up there again, I think I will do as you did and exclude the clouds. If you compare mine and yours, you shot about 10-20 feet to the right on mine.
I wonder if the color of the water changes? They say the blue is from refracted light off minute particles of rock suspended in the water from glacial effect.
