Hi Michele, I used my Tamron 2.8 28-70mm It could be a wonderful walkaround lens for the money, however the AF on my copy isn't the best. I think if I get it right it does well, but I'm not really happy with AF so I don't recommend it. Poor AF when doing candids is a nightmare. It's not the worst by any means, but I wish it were better.K... #3493217
