This is the Green Lynx Spider. Often seen on trees and shrubs. It "will" bite humans, but rarely. It would only be a defense mechanism, and its not deadly. However, it is verocious with its prey. It's a very beneficial spider to agriculture.

WONDERFUL capture! I love how the little eyes pop out! LOL...I have one of my own up this month, ironically. It's odd to see another. This is a much better shot then mine in the macro. At the time, I didn't know what kind of spider it was, so whipping out my macro and getting close wasn't my thing. I did an online search later on when I got home to find out what it was. Wish I had gotten closer now! LOL...GREAT JOB! #3420761

Thank you Hayden and Rose.

Rose..good to know the little bugger might bite, but I normally don't keep away from them. I might regret that one day! It is so unusual, and I didn't notice it at first. #3422116

Yeah, the little buggers are hard to see. They blend right in. Mine is a pregnant lynx. Yours is a male. :)

In my case, I actually had two shots left on my card and wanted to just zoom in on a lantana flower bloom. In my shot you can see the lantana...LOL...but then when I saw the lynx upon closing in, I was like YIKES! WHAT IS THAT! LOL...And I had to delete some on my card to get more shots! LOL....

My best to you! #3422143
