I have to really respect this capture, Michelle. I visited a botanic gardens yesterday...there were butterflies like this one, but none posed for me even for a second. Great job, here!!! #3398235

I've found that when trying to take butterfly pictures its best to have a lot of patience, wear lighter clothing, & to use a long lens so as not to frighten them if you try to get too close.

Such an impressive capture Michelle. I love everything about it! I know how difficult it can be to get these beauties to land long enough to focus and shoot. I did not have the greatest luck this past summer, but plan to give another try next year! I may need to visit a butterfly farm to have the odds more in my favor! #3403805
