Michael, I love the how the dragon fades into the background. Beautiful shot! #3205306Susan M. Hembree August 23, 2006
Love the muted pastel effect of the colors on the background. Great dragonfly details. Wonderful photo, Michael. #3205448Michael Garth August 23, 2006
Janine, Laurie, Susan and Sheryl ~Thank you all very much for taking the time to look and leave your very encouraging comments.
Laurie, the "fade" is the result of a "shoot through" where there was vegetation partially in front of the little guy and the lens rendered it as a very nice fade or blur. As I was chasing him around throug the viewfinder I noticed the background colors were similar to his colors and I was hoping that he landed in an area that had this background. It happened to work out. Thanks again.

Very nice Michael. I love the softness of it. #3205852Michael Garth August 23, 2006
Hi Cheryl,Yes, the softness appeals to me also. The long lens with extension tube(s) really help that along. I really like that lens combination, it's just not always possible to use. Thanks for leaving your thoughts.
