You're back! Nice shot (I like the pink color in the sky) and I know we are going to see many more! #3185417Mike Rubin August 19, 2006
Willard and Carol, Thanks for the comments. #3186151TS August 20, 2006
For me the bottom is too dark, I would crop the bottom and make this a smaller horizontal panoramic image. This image is stunning from the middle to the top, just my thought. #3188537Dennis Flanagan August 20, 2006
I like this but also appreciate Tami's remark. Maybe just crop about an inch from the bottom because it is integral to the changing shades as you get closer to the horizon.Whatever you do, it is an outstanding photo. #3188661

Tami & Dennis, Thanks for the comments and suggestion, my only concern is that I already cropped the top and think that if I crop any from the bottom that I will end up with an image that would be too narrow. However I will give it a try. the original was shot in RAW, Do you think I should just lighten the bottom ? #3190262TS August 20, 2006
There are some good examples on the past winners and finalist page for landscapes. All sizes to check out. #3190323Wayne L August 20, 2006
I see the lower left has another mountain layer in it with some green foliage. Maybe lighten some but I wouldn't remove it. It adds more depth to the overall photo.Mike Rubin August 20, 2006

Visited your gallery and love both the Shenandoah landscapes. Really liked "Window Shopping," too. I chose to comment on this photo because I found the discussion interesting. I have a sunset photo with horses in it with the same problem. Did you try lightening the bottom sections? Thanks for visiting my gallery.Mike Rubin January 01, 2007
Thank you Nikki, when I tried to lighten it more. I did not care for the results. The "Window Shopping" was a 1/4 of the entire window. I thought it had the most interesting composition of things. It was shot in Colonial Williamsburg VA. #3769198Janet January 02, 2007

Kimi, Thanks for the comments on my gallery. Old buildings are great, They wait patiently for you to take their picture and never complain that.."You took my bad side", "you made me look ____","why didn't you tell me I look terrible in this color?"....Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
