Awesome capture, Chris! There has been some enormous lightning and thunder storms coming through my place as of late, too. I can only dream of capturing something as you have done here :) Beautiful shot! #504033

Darryl,
Thank you, you are a sweetheart. I was east of town, in the Badlands...hoping to capture even one shot, as the lightening was so spotty. I surprised myself when I capture this pic. Darryl...you are a sweetie. Thank you for your kind words. Be safe dear friend.

Great shot, Crystal! I recently tried to get a lightening shot and wasn't as successful as you. I especially like the coloring against the black foregrounds. It really offsets the lightening quite well. Good job! #3169858

I am glad this waited until I left. After the Hotel experience I don't think my dog would have handled lightning well. You did an excellent job on this. #3173511

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. You warm a girl's heart. Be safe.
Chris :)

Dennis,
Thank you-I was happy the lightening was in the distance, very little thunder, BUT I was standing out in the middle of the Badlands in East Jesus to take this photo. I hope you and your puppy are better after the motel experince-I'm so happy for your call.
Be safe dear friend.
