I just want to comment on this photo. I shot this while visiting one of the oldest grist mills still in business in the U.S. It is family-owned and we got the "grand tour". I wanted more "architectural" photos, etc. But, this man; Buddy, was busily working and paid me no mind. The owner told me that he had been in that job his entire life and that he was almost 85 years old and almost never missed a day of work except to when he left to serve his country during wartimes. I made some very good photos of him that day. I consider them good "character" study photos. He was a true joy to talk with and a joy to photograph. I just wanted to share with with anyone who happens to log onto the comments section. You never know what you might find when you take the road less traveled... Cathy #84851

This is a great character shot Cathy! Thanks so much for the background info, I'm sure he's seen a lot of changes in all those years ~ and has the stories to tell! And you're right, you never know when a photo opportunity may happen! #318473
