Monday morning...time to go to work!

Comments

Romen Vargas July 10, 2001

I tried to capture the feeling of going to work on Monday mornings...the movement, the busy-ness. Funny thing is that I shot this in the afternoon (on a Friday even) since its usually too crowded during rush hour.
I just wanted to know if others think that I succeeded in getting the message across...if not then what could I have done different. #273

Hi Romen

I really like this shot, I live in London and the Underground is always busy like this but I also love that buzzy atmosphere these places have..

Im only a hobbyist so I cant give you a pros opinion!! but I like it! nice photo #463

Romen, my first impression when looking at this photo was "these people missed the train". Why not the train in sharp focus and the people going for the train....blurred.

Good Luck

Hi Chuck,
Thanks heaps for the comments, I really appreciate it :) I agree with you now that you mention it as well. I'll post up some of my later shots as well. Thanks again :) #484

Romen,

I agree with the previous comments...by leaving the people sharp, the train is the thing that is "rushing" and moving...I will upload a shot of my own that is similar...but the feeling I get from mine is similar to yours...people waiting to get onto the "business" that is represented by the rushing train. A man reads the paper in mine...I thought that was perfect...it is the last refuge before he gets sucked into his day. So in that sense it does capture the buisiness that you are looking for by keeping the people frozen, anticipating the rush they are about to step into. Otherwise, perhaps you could try a shot from an angle that captured the doors and leave the shutter open as people jump on and off. That would be a way to fully capture the people's business...great idea and keep up the good work.

Ryan
ps...thanks for reading my comments, I give them as my own humble opinion... #17139
