Aww - what a cute picture! Kids make great subjects :-)
Do you like your Canon EOS 30D? Also, what kind of lens(length, brand, etc.) would you recommend getting for it? I noticed that many lenses have a very narrow aperture range, do you ever find that is a problem? Do you need to change lenses a lot in order to find the right exposure for different pictures?

I'm looking to invest in a new camera and I have a ton of unanswered questions that I would like to get answers for before I dive in and get something I'm not completely satisfied with.

Thanks so much for your time!

Thanks Tracy. I love the 30D. I moved up from the 10D and it a big difference. I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy. I have just about every lens out there. The one I used for this shot was a 100-400 4.5 IS. For what I shot I would not waist the money on faster glass. This one does the job just fine. I also have a 15-30 wide angle and a 100 macro. As for changing lenses, I bring the lens I need for what I'm going to shoot. I rarely change lenses unless the subject matter changes. If you have anymore questions feel free to email me. #3112801
