Bear Lake

Description

This is the first of several pics that I captured during our Colorado trip last week. It was so beautiful there; God provided the perfect weather to be able to capture wonderful shots of His creation! This one is a view of Bear Lake located in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

18mm, 1/640sec, F/9, slightly brightened lower half of image to balance exposure with sky in PSE4.

Superb image Richard. Looking at your gallery I see you have been improving a lot. Subtle things that make a big differance. Your framing and composition is great, but I can't give you credit for the beautiful subject matter. As you know that goes to our Father who made it all. You did do a fantastic job of capturing it to share with those of us who don't get to see such wonderful landscapes as these. So thank you my friend for sharing. I hope you and yours are doing well.

Richard, you chose well this photo to frame for your home. This is outstanding. I don't know if, or how long, you waited for that beautiful white cloud, but that put the finishing touch on your composition that you did so well. Congrats! #5680777

Thank YOU Robert, for pointing out the elements of the photo that you like. I took many many pictures as we circled the whole lake, so fortunately the natural icing on the landscake (pun intended) worked out well in at least a few of the shots. Your feedback is so helpful when preparing shots in the future, and really clues me in on seeing the composition come to life. Thanks! #5688727
